NSW: Armed robber KOed by member of public
An armed bank robber was knocked unconscious when he was tackled by a member of thepublic as he fled a crime scene in Sydney's inner-west today.
The man entered the Commonwealth Bank branch on Marrickville Rd in Marrickville ataround 3pm, waving a pistol and demanding money.
He took a staff member into a back room of the bank at gunpoint, where he snatchedwhat police describe as a medium sum of money before fleeing.
