Fed: Labor reserving right to oppose NT intervention

Labor's indigenous affairs spokeswoman says she has concerns about the legislation
for the government's intervention in Northern Territory indigenous communities.

JENNY MACKLIN says she'll raise those concerns at this morning's caucus meeting to
discuss the 500-page legislative package it only received yesterday.

Indigenous Affairs Minister MAL BROUGH will introduce the package to parliament today
.. and expects it to pass both houses by the end of the week..

Labor initially supported the intervention to stop indigenous child abuse .. but Ms
MACKLIN says it's arrogant of the government to give the opposition so little time to
look at the detail.
